Maggie has been a Sedona resident for twenty-six years; seventeen of which she worked for the Superior Court of Yavapai County serving in the role of Program Manager for the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. In this capacity her responsibilities included managing the CASA, Court Improvement and Family Drug Court programs.
Maggie has extensive experience in program management, staff and volunteer recruitment, supervision, nonprofit organizations, community welfare and advocacy. Maggie’s career also reflects establishing and advising two local Boards, Yavapai CASA for Kids and CASA Children’s Center. These Boards were created to enhance the lives of undeserved children and families, whose needs would otherwise be unmet. She has also served as an adviser to the the Board of Directors for Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and served on the Verde Valley Best For Babies Board.Upon leaving the Court in 2012, she sought and received her certification as an independent polygraph examiner.
Maggie also has vast experience and success in the restaurant business, beginning her restaurant career in the New York City area. Most recently, she held the position of General Manager of the Mii amo Cafe at Enchantment Resort. She is knowledgeable and capable regarding the food and beverage industry. However, she has “found myself wanting to return to the nonprofit sector. My work with those in need and serving the community in which I live has clearly proven to be my career priority. I believe this opportunity will allow me to utilize my diversified experience”.
Maggie is a long time resident of the Village of Oak Creek. Outside of her work obligations, Maggie enjoys spending her free time with her daughters, family and friends.
